The experience of dental surgery can seem daunting and scary. We are here to make it a positive experience each and every time you come to our office. Although the things we see are quite routine, we are confident that we can put you at ease.

 

If you will be having surgery with general anesthesia, you should have nothing to eat or drink for 8 hours prior to your appointment, as it is very important to have an empty stomach for the anesthesia. We use all the same equipment for monitoring that you would find in a full operating room, which makes the procedure very safe.

 

Once the procedure is over and you have recovered from the anesthesia, your escort will take you home. Although we are gentle, it is not uncommon to have discomfort and swelling after the surgery. The proper medications are prescribed in order to help with these effects of surgery.

In order to prevent any delays, please remember to bring the following information to your consult appointment:

 

• Referral form and any x-rays from your dentist

• List of all medications

• Medical/Dental Insurance Card Information

 

 

Please remember, a parent or legal guardian must accompany all patients under the age of 18 to all office visits.
